The Farm

One of our many favorite things about living here is the farm just 2 blocks away.
It is so wild to be driving or walking around suburbia and see this:

Our family loves to go on walks together to see all the animals, especially in the Spring, when we can see or hold or pet all the new baby animals.

It was nice to see the lambs and sheep without the hissing geese at the fence. The farmer told us he got rid of the geese because they were too mean to the kids who came to visit. No kidding. If Chris is ever gone for too long, I'm going to get me a goose instead of a dog. HISSSS!!!

The boys insisted that I get a photo of the big Tom Turkey (and his lady friend admirers). Here it is boys!

Here are the baby turkeys. You can buy one come Thanksgiving time....we neglected to explain that to the boys.

Caleb also liked the fluffy baby chicks and goats.

These goats are just a few days old. We got to bottle feed them. What a delight for our boys!

The farmer always invites the kids to hold the bunnies, which they love. (As do I!)

Oh look, Isaac! It's your brothers-from-another-mother! Love the hairdo, guys!

Matthew now wants to be a farmer...and an astronaut, and a paleontologist, and a teacher, and....every job in the world.

SO lucky to have this farm close by! Even my senior in high school is jealous of this! :-)
